French Secretary-General for Defense and National Security Francis Delon paid an official visit to Ankara between 19-20 January 2014 at the invitation of Secretary-General Muammer Türker. During the visit, the French delegation was accompanied by H.E.Mr.Laurent Bili, Ambassador of France to Turkey.

During the meeting between delegations held on 20 January 2014 at the Office of the Secretariat-General of NSC, views were exchanged on regional and global security issues as well as bilateral relations. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to confirm that the two countries share common approaches to a variety of issues concerning international security and to see the potential for further cooperation.
