The Head of the Secretary of Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant General Viktor Makhmudov accompanied by a delegation, paid an official visit to Ankara between April 21-22, 2022 upon the invitation of the Secretary-General Governor Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu. During the negotiations Secretary General of National Security Council Governor Seyfullah Hacımüftüoğlu and Secretary of Security Council of Uzbekistan Lieutenant General Viktor Makhmudov exchanged views on regional and global security issues related to the mutual interest of two countries and possibilities of deepening cooperation on security issues. In this context, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Secretariat-General of the National Security Council and the Secretariat of the Security Council of Uzbekistan, which envisages the enhancement of contacts and cooperation.

On the margins of the visit Viktor Makhmudov also held meetings with other relevant institutions.
