The 5th Meeting of Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held on 16-18 September 2026 in Baku. At the meeting, issues related to regional and global security and the development of cooperation in these fields were discussed.

Secretary General of the National Security Council of the Republic of Türkiye Governor Okay MEMİŞ, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ramil USUBOV, Deputy Chairperson of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida BALAEVA, Secretary of the Security Council of Kyrgyz Republic Adilet OROZBEKOV, Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan Viktor MAKHMUDOV, Undersecretary of the State Planning Organization of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Mehmet AĞA and Secretary General of the OTS Ambassador Kubanychbek  OMURALIEV attended the meeting.

On the occasion of the meeting, the Secretaries of the Security Councils and other representatives were received by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan İlham ALİYEV.

Secretary General Governor Okay MEMİŞ also held bilateral discussions with his Kazakh and Uzbek counterparts on the sidelines of the meeting.
