A delegation headed by Muammer Türker, Governor and the Secretary-General of the NSC, paid visits to Hatay and Kilis between 06-07 May 2014.

Secretary-General Muammer Türker visited Hatay Governor M.Celalettin Lekesiz on 06 May 2014 and Kilis Governor Süleyman Tapsız on 07 May 2014 in their offices. At the meetings held with concerned authorities, the Secretary-General had talks on the services and humanitarian aids delivered to the Syrian refugees who have fled horrifying incidents and indigence in Syria to seek a safe haven in Turkey.

During his contacts in these provinces, Secretary-General Türker also paid visits to Hatay Association for Aid (HAYAD) which was established by local citizens to support Syrian people and to some border posts. The last stop of the visit program was Elbeyli Container City, established in Kilis with modern equipment. Here the Secretary-General had the chance to observe on site that the quality of the service delivery at the City constitutes a world-wide example.
