Ambassador Marius Gabriel LAZURCA, Adviser to the President of Romania for National Security and Foreign Policy, paid an official visit to Türkiye on 10-11 August 2026, hosted by Governor Okay MEMİŞ, Secretary General of the National Security Council.

During the meeting between the delegations held at the Secretariat General of the National Security Council, the parties held comprehensive discussions on Türkiye-Romania bilateral relations, recent developments concerning NATO and Euro-Atlantic security, as well as regional issues. They also considered opportunities to further advance bilateral relations and deepen cooperation in various fields.

As part of the visit, Ambassador LAZURCA also held meetings with Minister of National Defence Yaşar GÜLER, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Ayşe Berris EKİNCİ, Çand Chief Adviser to the President on Foreign Policy and Security Ambassador Akif Çağatay KILIÇ.
