Head of the Polish National Security Bureau visits Secretariat-General (December 01-03, 2013)

Minister Stanislaw Koziej, the Head of the National Security Bureau of the Republic of Poland, paid an official visit to Turkey on 1-3 December 2013 at the invitation of the Secretary General of the National Security Council Governor Muammer Türker.

Official visits between two institutions have been continuing since 2005 and have become regular after 2011 within the framework of the signed Protocol on Cooperation. During the meeting between delegations on 2 December 2013 at the Secretariat-General of the NSC, views were exchanged regarding regional and global security issues. Noting that the 600th anniversary of the diplomatic relations will be celebrated next year, both sides shared the view that bilateral institutional cooperation should be further strengthened in order to contribute to the relations between Turkey and Poland.

Within the context of the visit program, the Polish Delegation was also received by Minister of National Defense İsmet Yılmaz. Thereafter, the Delegation visited HAVELSAN (the Air Electronic Industry and Trade Inc.) and was briefed on the activities of the corporation. The reception in the evening of 2 December, hosted by H.E. Ambassador Mieczyslaw Cieniuch on the occasion of the National Independence Day and the Armed Force Day of the Republic of Poland, constituted a symbolic value for the purposes of the visit.
